Some cherish Valentine’s Day as a holiday where we celebrate the ones we love. Others consider it a headache. No matter your relationship status, there are a bunch of Valentine's Day (and anti-Valentine's Day) events happening in Miami. Here are our favorite ways to spend Valentine’s Day for lovers and Hallmark haters alike.
Plan a Successful Beach Date
Take advantage of Miami’s warm February weather with some beach time. When staying with Washington Park Hotel, it’s easy to get to the white sands of SoBe. Hop on our complimentary Tuk Tuk shuttle or borrow one of our Martone Bikes for the short ride east. Take the ride out to South Pointe Beach to see the best views in the city. If you and your partner are early risers, take the trip to watch the sunrise and grab a cup of Cuban coffee from one of our favorite shops. Make a night of it and pack a moonlight picnic to avoid the crowds of couples out to dinner.
Take a Miami Sightseeing Cruise Around Town
By air, sea, or land - explore Miami any way you want. What better day to sit back and relax with your special someone while somebody else does the navigating? Take to the skies with a flight over Miami. Book the Romantic Air Tour to experience a bird’s eye view of the town and surrounding area with a glass of bubbly in hand. Glide over Biscayne Bay at sunset for views of downtown and South Beach.
Cruise the streets of downtown after the sun sets. Hop on the Big Bus for a sexy and sultry night tour of Miami’s best landmarks and hotspots. For the complete package, set sail with the South Beach Lady yacht for a romantic dinner on Biscayne Bay. Enjoy the bright lights of Miami’s skyline, the moonlit reflection off the bay, a multicourse spread for two, and a bottle of bubbly.
Single? Treat Yourself
You don’t have to have a special someone to join in on the Valentine’s Day festivities. If you’re single and looking, ditch the dating app and visit the Wine Vault in Midtown for a speed dating event to meet local singles. Enjoy this no-frills bash hosted by Relish with tapas, wine, and mixed drinks. Barsecco in Brickell is throwing the epic It’s Not Me, It’s You singles party with free admission, eats, craft cocktails, and live music by DJ Hermes. For the cynics, hop on the annual F*** Valentine’s Bar Crawl in Wynwood, and enjoy stops at SHOTS Miami, the Butcher Shop, Centro, and more.
Concrete Beach Brewery always has brewsy happenings leading up to Valentine’s Day. Ladies can celebrate Galentine’s with their girlfriends and a brunch featuring Rosé Ale Beermosas, a delicious menu from Hummingbird Table, a photo booth, and the opportunity to post a scandalous confession on their anonymous confession wall. All singles are invited to attend Concrete Beach’s Sippin Singles Mixer for beer, games, and a DJ on Valentine’s Day night.
End the Night at a Bar to Remember
You can book a reservation at any of South Beach’s hippest eateries for an intimate dinner, but for a memorable nightcap, join Drinkhouse Fire and Ice Bar for their exclusive Valentine’s Day event. Miami’s first ice bar and experimental cocktail lounge is serving up candlelight, entertainment, and plenty of romance. Cozy up in the chilly vodka ice bar with faux fur coats and gloves (provided), dance in the toasty fire lounge to a live DJ, enjoy cocktails, a champagne toast, and decadent handcrafted chocolates.
