In addition to longer days, warmer weather, and an influx of spring break party-goers, the arrival of spring is the harbinger of Easter festivities in South Beach. There are plenty of events to celebrate this Easter Sunday in Miami. Here are some of our favorite SoBe egg hunts, festivals, brunch options, dinners, and more. Let’s hop to it!

Brunch

Easter brunch has been a tradition for as long as we can remember. Visit the tranquil Patch of Heaven Sanctuary in Miami for a farm-to-table Easter brunch from 12 - 4 p.m. The 11-acres of protected forest and historical structures in southwest Miami is hosting a delicious brunch coordinated by Taste of Redland and features exotic local treats, fresh Florida produce, and your favorite proteins created by top local chefs.

For a South American twist on a traditional brunch, spend Easter Sunday in Brickell at Quinto La Huella for a Uruguayan-inspired buffet brunch of sushi, quinoa salads, fish, and special desserts. La Mar by Gastón Acurio on Brickell Key offers a Peruvian brunch with specialties like lomo saltado and unlimited brunch cocktails, select wines, and Champagne. Bring the kiddos to this one - the event features a cookie decorating station, lemonade stand, petting zoo, a special visit from the Easter Bunny, and the Grand Easter Egg Hunt on Brickell Beach.

Easter Egg Hunts

Get Easter started early with a trip to Little Farm in southwest Miami this Saturday for their Annual Charity Egg Hunt. Let your little ones enjoy an egg hunt, petting zoo, pony rides, a farm tour, and more at this BYOB (bring-your-own-basket) event. Check out the Spring Egg Hunt at Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon in North Miami and the Easter Egg Hunt at Schenley Park for more Saturday hunts.

Zoo Miami’s Egg Safari features a sustainable alternative to the otherwise sugar-filled sweets and plastic eggs we typically see on Easter. Included in the price of zoo admission, kids can hunt for over 100,000 eco-friendly and 100-percent biodegradable eggs, all filled with palm oil-free and sustainable palm oil candy. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny, play games, win prizes, and watch zoo animals search for their own special holiday treats.

Kids don’t get to have all the fun on Easter. Nautilus by Arlo is partnering with DIRTY LEMON to host a Grown Up Easter Egg Hunt this Sunday in Miami Beach with treasured finds of Dylan Candy Bar items, free tickets, and more. The free event will include old-school egg and spoon races, prizes, yoga, and henna tattoos.

Festivals

Zoo Miami isn’t the only place to spend your Easter with the animals. Don’t miss Bunny Palooza at Miami Seaquarium, taking place Easter weekend in Key Biscayne. The festival includes egg hunts, rides, slides, five acres of bounce houses, Kids Foam Zone, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and the largest Easter parade in South Florida. Visit North Shore Park in Miami Beach for their Spring Eggstravaganza for arts, crafts, and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. Join the egg hunt and enjoy carnival rides and refreshments the Saturday before Easter for a head start on holiday thrills and sweet treats.

Meet the Easter Bunny

Easter wouldn’t be complete without a chance to take photos with your floppy-eared friend. Visit Dolphin Mall and Dadeland Mall for fun activities and meet and greets, or bring your dog to The Falls Shopping Center or Miami International Mall for pet photos.

Church Service

Participate in a traditional Easter service at one of Miami’s most beautiful locations. Head to the historic Deering Estate overlooking Biscayne Bay for Catholic mass, visit Thalatta Estate for an outdoor sunrise service in Cutler Bay (picnic blankets encouraged), or spend your Sunday at Calvary Miami Beach for an Easter service on the white sands of Miami Beach. All are welcome to share in the spirit and purpose of the Easter Celebration with mass at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Church of the Epiphany, St. Paul Lutheran Church, South Miami Lutheran Church, and Miami Shores Community Church.
